 2018 Preview

Cottage Hill Christian finished the 2017 season with a disappointing 3-7 record. Last year Cottage Hill Christian finished seventh in Class 3A region one with a 1-6 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

The Warriors have not qualified for the playoffs since the 2007 season and would love to end that streak this year. They have never won a playoff game in the school's history.

Since 2010, the Cottage Hill Christian football program has struggled with a record of 21-58.

Over the past 17 seasons, Cottage Hill Christian has not won much with a record of 56-112. Their 33.0% winning percentage ranks 46th in Class 2A and 326th in the AHSAA. Their last winning season was 2010.

The Warriors will be under the direction of new head football coach Chris Brazell as they enter the 2018 season.

The Cottage Hill Christian Warriors will play in Class 2A region one during the 2018 season. The Warriors may find the schedule slightly easier this season with the move down in classification from Class 3A to 2A. They will compete in region one this year.

It will be an uphill battle for the Warriors if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region one this season.

The Warriors open the 2018 season on the road against non-region opponent Florala on Friday, August 31 at Matthews Stadium. Last year the Florala Wildcats finished with an overall record of 3-6 and in seventh place in Class 1A region two.

Cottage Hill Christian and Florala have met a total of 2 times on the football field. The Warriors have a 2-0-0 record against the Wildcats. They last met in with
